Sonic Retro

Sega Retro

Extension:Cargo

The cargo_query command can't cope with strings that contain quotes (see sega:Template_talk:Creditstable#double_quotes for discussion).

Extension:UploadLocal

Broken.

Extension:PdfHandler

No thumbnails for 10-20% of existing PDFs.

Pages with large numbers of PDF thumbnails take a long time to load, or fail to load entirely.

Realistically, this won't be fixed until one of three things happen:
  • ImageMagick gets a rewrite that can take advantage of GPU processing
  • Retro upgrades its server memory
  • Retro upgrades the number of cores on the CPU
Until then, we kind of have to muddle through with the power we have. - Scarred Sun (talk) 16:52, 25 June 2018 (CDT)

Bullet points

Bullet points are broken. The following text:

* 1st point
** 2nd point

ends up looking like this:

  • 1st point
    •
    • 2nd point

Further breakages when used in conjunction with templates: sega:Puyo Puyo Tetris/Hidden content

NEC Retro

CSS

The style sheets were never fully ironed out for NEC Retro - galleries have black backgrounds, and some line breaks are being ignored (example). The latter might be a template issue but it also highlights differing font sizes.

Can you please specify issues? Did a couple of link tweaks but could not find original issues. - Scarred Sun (talk) 20:08, 29 October 2017 (CDT)

Extension:UploadLocal

Broken.

Retro CDN

Extension:GlobalUsage

Files still appear on Special:UnusedFiles, despite being used on other wikis.

Files that are used by Sega Retro have a second duplicate usage list. (example) The second list is unformatted, but includes non-thumbnail links. (example)

All or multiple wikis

Categories

Files aren't added to categories unless edited/poked. As such, files uploaded via UploadLocal have the appearance of being uncategorised.

Does this still happen for anything uploaded nowadays? - Scarred Sun (talk) 17:00, 25 June 2018 (CDT)
This is no longer a thing on Retro CDN. Yet to test on other wikis -Black Squirrel (talk) 11:54, 28 June 2018 (CDT)

Extension:TimedMediaHandler

MP4s stored on Retro CDN cause an error when viewed on other wikis. (example)

Known issue, see Phrabricator:T63986. - Scarred Sun (talk) 19:36, 29 October 2017 (CDT)

$wgEnableScaryTranscluding

Cross-wiki transclusion no longer works in most cases. The only place I've got it to work is NEC Retro, transcluding from Sonic Retro (i.e. {{raw:sonic:MD}}).

It's disabled on Retro CDN.

  • works = works as expected
