Djvu to PDF

How do you change Djvu files to PDF? I watched files you put in and some are good but some are illegible so I wanted to ask.--Lukdriver14 (talk) 10:12, 7 May 2020 (EDT) (talk) 10:16, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
I broke djvu to jpg and then combined into pdf. The quality was better than the online converter but the files were larger and the process was quite long.--Lukdriver14 (talk) 10:53, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
So... do you want to do it instead? --Asagoth (talk) 11:01, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
I just wanted to say that if the file is very unreadable then you can always use this method.--Lukdriver14 (talk) 11:06, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
I see... I'll give it a try then...--Asagoth (talk) 11:11, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
So what about now?... Does it look good to you?...--Asagoth (talk) 11:28, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
This one looks good and this one does not--Lukdriver14 (talk) 12:20, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
I've done as you said... which tool have you used ?...--Asagoth (talk) 12:31, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
Edit: issue #25 outputs pages with a low resolution of 419x594 ...--Asagoth (talk) 12:43, 7 May 2020 (EDT)

"it's a big faff"

I got some results:

  1. Avoid the online converters - they're not fit for purpose.
  2. Hunt down the DjVuLibre library
  3. Use the ddjvu command line tool to output each page as a TIFF file ( (the PDF conversion leads to stupid file sizes - ignore that)
  4. Convert pages to JPEG
  5. File:JPEGtoPDF.7z

rem Look at me I'm a batch script.

@echo off
rem del *.jpg /Q

rem Extract each page as TIFF files
for /L %%A in (1,1,36) do (
  ddjvu -format=tiff -page=%%A test.djvu test%%A.tif

rem Get Imagemagick to convert from TIFF to JPEG.
magick mogrify -format jpg -quality 75 *.tif

rem Delete all the remaining TIFF files
del *.tif /Q

e.g. File:GryKomputerowe PL 06.pdf

I'm sure it can be made more intelligent. -Black Squirrel (talk) 13:02, 7 May 2020 (EDT)

Here are some better quality Top Secret scans. --Lukdriver14 (talk) 13:07, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
Sorry... but to me is like reading Chinese... I'm not the guy for this job... I'm not an expert in this stuff... I was "just looking for some scanned Mega Drive Manuals" (remember?... no offense)... but you can count on me to upload large files ;) ... --Asagoth (talk) 13:15, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
That's why I put everything in jpg :)--Lukdriver14 (talk) 13:25, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
But I think is much better to have the whole magazine... I mean... they are old, rare and cool... I will replace those fucked up "Top Secret" pdfs for the good ones at (talk) 13:33, 7 May 2020 (EDT)
I have a request. Could you load this file because I wanted to replace one jpg with this --Lukdriver14 (talk) 05:22, 8 May 2020 (EDT)
Sorry for the late reply... sure, no problem...--Asagoth (talk) 09:12, 8 May 2020 (EDT)

Thanks :)--Lukdriver14 (talk) 12:47, 8 May 2020 (EDT)
Hello it is me again. I have a request once again. Can you please upload this file again because for some reason it doesn't display correctly (I don't know if it's the site's fault or mine)? And I would also ask you to insert this file because there is one article about Master System. Thanks.--Lukdriver14 (talk) 07:14, 23 January 2021 (EST)
Interesting story about Erik Mahnkopf and Malte Nickau. I've never heard of them and Champion Train '93.--Lukdriver14 (talk) 08:58, 23 January 2021 (EST)
Done... I don't know why that happens with some files ... I've uploaded some files that ended like that too... sorry... Yep :) ... it's a cool story... I thought that they were just some random guys (and they were... kind of...) ... it's good to know that they succeeded in life :) --Asagoth (talk) 09:11, 23 January 2021 (EST)
